Some figures about the trip

toyotaOur trip has been very busy and crowded with events. When we strarted planning we initially thought not to visit Jaisalmer, but then we decided to stay a couple of days more and include Jaisalmer in the trip (and it was a wise decision!). The best way to show what kind of trip it was I think is to use maps to locate India and Rajasthan, and then have a detail of the trip route. You can do this looking at the world map and then following the instructions. During our trip we visited eight cities, we slept 11 nights in eight different Hotels (We stayed two nights only in Jaipur, Jaisalmer and Udaipur). We covered a distance of more than 2500 Km, that is like running the whole Italy from North to South (Milan to Reggio Calabria) and vice-versa (!). The average speed was about 50 Km/h, that is to say we stayed in the car more than 5 hours a day, and thanks God it was a nice comfortable car! The longest travel leg was the last transfer (Pushkar to Delhi, more than 400 Km), the shortest the first one (Delhi to Agra, around 200 Km). As far as the financial side of it, I already told what Karni's fee included (and it was a very nice cheap fee), for all the rest (meals, monument entrance fees, all other expences) we totalled a little 340 Euros in 11 days . We spent almost three times that amount to buy souvenirs, and to carry them home we had to buy an additional big bag, but this is a different story...
